Home Again...

Back in Canada Safe and Sound
Here are some pictures from our return home. I didn't get many because I was too busy trying to get through the Airport with our 7 bags and the baby. The one above is with Jess's brother Dylan and the one below is with my mom. (We really need to get this German right arm in the air out of his system if you know what I mean!)
We were very fortunate to get the bulkhead seat with a little bed for Josh. He slept for three hours, woke up and fed, and shut 'er down for another 3. It was a great experience and we were very lucky. We were scared of the 10 hours on the airplane for a long time. It is a relief that we are now home. Yesterday I stayed at a stop on a red light for 3 minutes before I realized that I could turn right. I couldn't figure out why people were honking. I then bought Josh a chair and questioned the saleslady on the price. She then showed me the bill and I remembered the amount of tax on a purchase here. Tough to get used to after the no tax in Germany. I am also answering people in German and looking for the "salesperson who speaks English." Needless to say, the culture shock is overwhelming!

Italia.....
At the bottom of the tower is a nice grassy area. We just sat and relaxed because it was a beautiful day in Italy.
This is Jess and I in Florence. We were in front of a famous bridge in Florence that survived World War II bombings. It was really neat because the bridge was lined with shops two stories high with little balconies. It was like nothing we had seen before in Europe. Florence was one of the nicest cities we visited in Europe. These are our top 5 trips in the Davis official rankings:
This is the most beautiful building I have ever seen in Europe (and probably anywhere). It is the Duomo in Florence. The attention to detail and Michealangelo paintings on it are unbelievable. Joshua was crying one night so I took him out for a walk at 11:00 and this building was crazy at night. Really cool. (I was enjoying an After Eight Gelato)
This was a sqaure in Pisa beside the Tower.
On the trip Josh was fantastic on the flight. He was happy sleeping, happy when awake. He slept all day in the Baby Bjorn while travelling too. The only incident was when he cried himself to sleep (and I mean cried) at 11:30 at night in the Hotel. On the second night this lead to the entire floor changing rooms but it was nice to have a floor to ourselves! We had to take turns going to breakfast because we didn't want to be, "the couple with the crying baby." ha ha ha ha...
